Today we’re rolling out a small but meaningful change to ListMyServer: sponsor slots. You’ll start seeing them on the home page, the latest and top-rated pages, and tucked into the sidebar of individual server profiles.
What sponsor slots are (and what they aren’t)
Sponsor slots are paid placements for tools and services that complement private servers — things like storefronts, hosting providers, donation platforms, and ops tooling. They are not server listings, and they don’t compete with them in the directory.
We made the visual distinction deliberate:
- Every sponsor block is labelled “Sponsored” in plain English.
- The container uses a dashed border and a tinted background so it can’t be mistaken for a server card.
- Sponsor links carry
rel="sponsored nofollow noopener"and route through a tracker endpoint that’s separate from the server click pipeline.
Server rankings, vote counts, and featured/pinned promotions remain untouched by sponsor money. Owner-side promotion still works exactly the way it did yesterday — see /promote if you want to feature or pin your listing.
Meet Astrolink
